2010 Summer Outdoor League - Registration is Closed!

Thank you to all of those who signed up or expressed an interest.  Please keep an eye on the website for forthcoming soccer events

The league will be played on the artificial pitch at Montrose Harbor and will be on Sundays 5:30pm – 8:30pm starting July 11^th until Aug. 29^th.  Like previous seasons we will offer recreational and competitive, but this time we are going to allow groups to form their own teams.  As this is a co-ed league we encourage you to mix your team up, but you can also submit a complete men’s or women’s team. 

So find a group of friends, or get your current volleyball/softball/dodgeball/kickball team to sign up as a soccer team, or if you have a gay group at work, sign up!  As this will be an 11 a-side league we would suggest you need a minimum of 15 players as there will be weeks when people are away.  If you have a group of friends, but can’t manage to find a full team, we will work to merge part-teams to form whole ones.

Of course you can still sign up as an individual player and then we will put you on a team.  Once we have figured out the budget we will advise the cost and open the registration, but for now start thinking about a team and if you are interested in being a captain, please let us know.

Soccer Social at Northend

For those of you coming to watch the World Cup game next Saturday, you can now use this opportunity for some pre-season scouting and recruitment.  Just make sure you pick people before you get drunk!

 As a final reminder, please let me know if you plan on coming next Saturday so I can let Northend know.  So far I have about 25 people coming, but the more the merrier!  England vs. USA World Cup game at Northend on Saturday June 12^th.  The game starts at 1pm Chicago time.
