Games will start promptly. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to meet your teammates and warm up. We will not have team shirts for the first week's games, so please bring a white and a dark shirt. We also will have pinnies (pennies? bibs?), which will be daisy fresh for the early games, but might be a bit...damp...by the later games. Which reminds me...bring water! Lots of it. It's hotter than heck out there, and you cannot count on water being available at the field. Shin guards are highly recommended, but not mandatory. Footwear is personal preference -- molded cleats, turf shoes and gym shoes are permitted.
2011 Summer Outdoor League - Registration is now closed

The Summer 2011 league will be held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am – noon and will begin on June 11.
Location: Montrose turf field (Montrose & LSD)
Dates: Jun 11, 18 (no games June 25)
Jul 9, 16, 23, 30 (no games July 2)
Aug 6, 13, 20, 27
Rain day: September 3 (if needed)
Cost: $77 on or before May 31
$87 beginning June 1
We are limited to 3 hours by the Chicago Park District, so we will only have 3 Competitive and 3 Recreational teams, each consisting of a maximum of 16 players. Each team will play 2 x 25 minute games each Saturday. One week the Recreational games will start early and the next week we will switch it around. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis and once we reach the maximum number of players per division, we will close that division's registration.
Like last season, you can either sign up as an individual or you can sign up with a group of friends and we will do everything possible to put you all together. As space will be limited please only sign up if you are serious about playing and making most of the games. Please note that the Board reserves the right to re-distribute players if we feel any one team is too strong compared to the other two in their league.
Please note in the registration process you must either choose the Recreational or Competitive Leagues. Once you get through the basic information it will ask you for the name of your captain. If you want to play with friends, please enter their name, or if you are signing up on your own, please enter independent in the captain section. (We’ve had a few problems – if you want to play on a certain team, or with a certain person, please send an email to soccer@chicagomsa.org and let us know. If you are signing up as an individual, there is no need to let us know.)

THE LEAGUE: The CMSA soccer league is open to players of all ability levels who are interested in playing soccer, having fun, and meeting new people. The league will offer both recreational and competitive divisions. You do not need a team in order to sign up. Team t-shirts will be provided to all players.
